Tenby Needs You
Whether you’re a Tenbyite, an incomer or a visitor Tenby needs you to help maintain the wonderful variety of local clubs, associations and societies that flourish in the town. These range from sporting clubs and organisations (Angling, Bowling, Cycling, Football, Golf, Karate, Rugby, Sailing, Swimming and Trampolining) to more sedate activities (including Tenby and District Arts Club, Bridge Club, Camera Club, Flower Arrangers, Historical Society, Male Choir, Probus, Soroptimists and U3A).
How can you help? In the first instance simply by supporting these various clubs and societies by attending events organised by them and by becoming a member of those who have membership schemes. Secondly by volunteering to assist with the running of these clubs and societies. By simply offering your time and expertise to the organisations concerned you could make a real difference and help keep the clubs going for future generations.
To find out more simply contact the club or society you are interested in. Contact details can be found in the free local directory published by the Tenby Observer newspaper.
As well as clubs, societies and local organisations volunteering opportunities also exist in Tenby in local charity shops and at Tenby Museum & Art Gallery (a registered charity). Simply enquire within for details. Your help will ensure that these charities can continue to serve the people of Tenby for decades to come.
